Germany will introduce “Green Card” system to qualified Foreign Workers.

Is there any chance that Germany would eventually implement the Green Card? As an alternative, the German government is introducing the Chancenkarte (which means “opportunity card”) which can be compared to USA’s Green Card.
 
This Chancenkarte will have a point system with four criteria, consisting
  • A university degree / Professional qualification
  • Minimum 3 years of professional experience
  • German Language proficiency / Prior german residency
  • < 35 years old
To be eligible for the card, one must fulfill three of the four requirements.
 
The Federal Minister of Labor Mr. Hubertus Heil (SPD) had conformed this news and also specified plans to make it easier for foreign skilled workers to immigrate to Germany.
 
Every year, a cap for how many individuals may immigrate to Germany with the opportunity card will be determined based on Germany’s workforce needs. so that the skilled that the nation needs may be found easily. But as of now the precise plan is still being worked out inside the administration.
